Mustang/Muktinath

Mustang is one of Nepal's most mysterious and least-known kingdom. The landscape of Mustang is a barren moonscape of eroded sandstone pillars and discontinuous moraine terraces, which together present a colorful mosaic made up principally of earthen reds, yellows, and browns. It is relatively easy trekking through an almost treeless barren landscape. Strong winds generally howl across the area in the afternoon, generally subsiding at night. Being in the rain shadow of the Himalaya, Mustang has much less rain than the rest of Nepal.

DETAIL ITINERARY

 Day 01: Kathmandu to Pokhara

Drive to Pokhara (200km), approximately 7hr away by tourist bus. We will see good scenery of countryside while driving. We will arrive in the late afternoon at Pokhara around 2 pm. Pokhara is an enchanting Himalayan Valley of remarkable beauty. We can explore it's scenic land on bicycle/foot or you can go boating in Fewa Lake overlooking the region of Annapurna Himalayan ranges.

Day 02: Pokhara to Jomsom

Breakfast at hotel, your tour will start from Pokhara to Jomsom drive by Super Bus, through the river bank of Kaligandaki via Beni, Ghasa, Marpha, Jomsom along the Kaligandaki Valley(10.00 hrs) Arrival Jomsom, evening rest, Overnight Hotel. Along the way you will witness the barren wilderness of the mustang valley, Rupse waterfall and most of all the memorable off-road travel.

Day 03: Jomsom to Muktinath to Marpha

Breakfast at Hotel, then Super Bus drive up to Muktinath temple, holy bath at 108 waterspout "Muktidhara", and dip in 2 MuktiKunda, & worship at Muktinath Temple, drive back to Jomsom. From Jomsom a short trek to Dhumba Taal where you can experience pristine lake atop a barren hilltop. Visit Jomsom Baazar and drive to Maprha Village. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 04: Marpha to Pokhara

Breakfast at Hotel, Visit Marpha Monastery and buy souvenir and then you will be transfer from Marpha to Pokhara, Arrival, Check in Hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 05: Pokhara to Kathmandu

From Pokhara the tourist bus leave early morning to Kathmandu. It takes same hours that take from Kathmandu to Pokhara.
